BBE goes back to its roots…

Was GREAT to be back where it all started at the Castle Rock Museum and Historic Society! At first the size of the room had me thinkin’ it was going to be a smaller crowd than I’d hoped for, but they soon had to open the divider between conference rooms to make space for everyone showin’ up. SO… ultimately I’m callin’ it a pretty successful evening, as I’m reasonably sure I was able to convince one gentleman in particular that ol’ Bill did a TAD more than just shoot buffalo…

I’ve come across more than one person who¬†has that idea stuck in their head, and it takes some convincing to un-do some pretty ingrained historical misconceptions! Out of the several thousand folks that I’ve shared the Colonel’s story with, I’m hopin’ I changed a FEW like minds once they know the facts, ’cause providing buffalo meat for the railroad workers was probably one of Bill’s LEAST significant accomplishments!
